emergency room :-(

well we spent an hour in the ER this evening. bryan and lily were playing around on the sofa and he was holding her hand and arm when she quickly jerked away from him, hurting her hand and fingers. she was screaming and crying for about 10-15 minutes after it happened when i said we should take her to the ER. i've never seen her in so much pain and her pointer finger was swelling up. i didnt know if it was broken or not, especially by the way she was crying. she cried hard the whole way there, and screamed everytime we hit a bump. we took her to oschners ER and she freaked out even more when the nurses and doctor were trying to examine her hand. after a while, she calmed down a little and let the doctor feel her hand and fingers which she said were swollen, but not broken....probably just a sprain or jammed finger. they tried to ice it but lily wouldnt let them and there wasnt much more they could do for it. so they gave her a sucker and sent us on our way. shes all better now after some tylenol and time...which took away the swelling and pain. but yikes that was stressful

The Wiggles!!!

Bryan, Lily, and I went to see The Wiggles today at the lakefront arena! It is one of Lily's favorite shows and she had sooooo much fun!! We were 7th row on the floor so she got a very good view of the show. You should have seen her face when they first came out...it was the best/cutest/most-endearingly wonderful reaction i have ever seen!!! She was soooooo excited to see them....she sat there with her mouth wide open in disbelief for like 5 minutes! It was so great!

DESTIN!!!!

We returned home from our week in Destin today. We had a GREAT time and the vacation was much needed! Lily had so much fun. We went to the beach everyday and played in the sand....well mommy and Lily went to the beach. Daddy and his translucent skin dont agree with the beach :-)....Lily pretty much lived in the pool, which was a good thing b/c the gulf had lots and lots of jellyfish in it this year. i got stung on my ankle by one of the big ones with the loooong red tentacles and the lifeguard had to pour amonia on me. yuck! We also went to the Gulfarium and saw the dolphin and sea lion shows which Lily thought was just the greatest thing in the whole world. We did some shopping at the awesome Silver Sands Factory Stores and The Destin Commons and of course we had to hit up the classics...Alvins Island, Wings, Sunsations, etc... Lily got an airbrushed shirt with her name, Destin '08, and a flamingo in it. It was a blast and was over before we knew it! Here are a bunch of pics from our fun-filled week:
