Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas. Lily is so spoiled and got so many cool gifts. My mom and stepdad came in town this past saturday and stayed until tuesday. I hosted my first christmas dinner at our house for them and my aunt and uncle, godmother, and brother and sisters. It went well...i even cooked and everyone said it was good! shocking! so that was our little family christmas. On christmas morning, Lily had a blast opening all her stuff. We went to my dads that morning and she opened more there. Then we cam home and she napped and woke up and played with all of her new presents for the rest of the day.

exciting news...........

we're pregnant!!!!!!!
Last Monday i was feeling awful...throwing up all day long, so i decided to take a pregnancy test, just in case, and sure enough....I'M PREGNANT!!! i didnt think i could be so soon ...we figured it would take us maybe a few months of trying...ha! i got pregnant right away. Literally. first shot. hahahaha! we are so lucky and blessed. We had our first appointment on tuesday and they think im about 6-7 weeks along. We go back on january 8th for our first ultrasound and they can tell us a more accurate due date then! We're thinking im going to be due sometime in august, which is cool b/c my bday is in august and lily was b0rn right around bryans bday in april! but i know it is going to SUCK being big and pregnant in the summer time...ughh! i was hot and miserable the last few months of pregnancy with Lily and that was during winter/spring! haha! ill be updating a lot on here so stay tuned for more baby bags #2 news!! yay!!! we're so excited!

SNOW!!! and Christmas in the Oaks!

I still cant believe it snowed here! and i mean it REALLY snowed...the stuff actually didnt melt and accumulated on the ground! It was about 2-3 inches deep at our house! It was beautiful and Lily just loved it! We even built a snowman! But now i wonder what this coming hurricane season has in store for us...snow in new orleans has always been an omen for a bad hurricane. I knew something was going to happen Christmas day 2004 when it snowed last. I think God giving us snow on christmas day was his way of helping us have an awesome memory of the last christmas in our houses pre-katrina. i just hope this snow isnt a forecast of dire events to come!

Anyways, we went to christmas in the oaks this past week and we couldnt have picked a better night to go. It was suppose to storm that night and we were literally the ONLY people there!!!! which was awesome b/c if you have ever been to christmas in the oaks, you know it gets very crowded and the lines for the rides are LONG.
