I still cant believe it snowed here! and i mean it REALLY snowed...the stuff actually didnt melt and accumulated on the ground! It was about 2-3 inches deep at our house! It was beautiful and Lily just loved it! We even built a snowman! But now i wonder what this coming hurricane season has in store for us...snow in new orleans has always been an omen for a bad hurricane. I knew something was going to happen Christmas day 2004 when it snowed last. I think God giving us snow on christmas day was his way of helping us have an awesome memory of the last christmas in our houses pre-katrina. i just hope this snow isnt a forecast of dire events to come!
Anyways, we went to christmas in the oaks this past week and we couldnt have picked a better night to go. It was suppose to storm that night and we were literally the ONLY people there!!!! which was awesome b/c if you have ever been to christmas in the oaks, you know it gets very crowded and the lines for the rides are LONG. Lily got right on every ride! It was great! Here are some pics of us playing in the snow and at christmas in the oaks:
